Welcome to Court Sessions' new web-site. Court Sessions remains
South London's only traditional song and music club, and meets on Friday nights.
We have decided to close for the Summer, due to the unexpected and sudden
closure of our current venue..
The owners of The Grove Tavern have decided, for reasons of commerce, to end all music tuition on the 1st floor and close
all the rooms, with a view to returning the pub to its former role as a B&B hotel. This, unfortunately, includes our little
club room and, of course means that, yet again, we are having to search for a suitable venue- hopefully in South London..
The club's resident performers are Dave and Doreen both of whom are solo and harmony
singers, and also run the fluid and somewhat eclectic Wandle Delta String Band, which opens proceedings at
the club each evening, with a mixture of English, Irish, Scots, Appalachian and French musics...
