Court Sessions

Welcome graphic

Welcome to Court Sessions' new web-site. Court Sessions remains South London's only traditional song and music club, and meets on Friday nights.

We decided to close for the Summer, due to the unexpected and sudden closure of our current venue..

We are going to open in the Autumn and, on Friday, Sept. 11th, we'll welcome wonderful, Irish singing sensation Niamh Parsons, along with her accompanist, the equally amazing guitar genius Graham Dunne, to the newly refurbished backroom at the relaunched 'Antelope'- previously 'Jack Beards'- at 76 Mitcham Road, Tooting. It's under five minutes walk from Tooting Broadway Station.
Please note that Niamh and Graham are here on a very short tour, over from Ireland, and that due to their obvious popularity, this will be an all-ticket performance- tickets will be available soon.  See the club prog. page...

The club's resident performers are Dave and Doreen both of whom are solo and harmony singers, and also run the fluid and somewhat eclectic Wandle Delta String Band, which opens proceedings at the club each evening, with a mixture of English, Irish, Scots, Appalachian and French musics...

Join our mailing list: This is a 'Yahoo' Group, with regular mail-outs- in plain text only, to avoid viruses, trojans or other 'malware' being introduced.
Come along to the club and fill out a membership form to be included by default, or apply by e-mail, from your usual e-mail address,
We are not going to give in easily, despite the growing rate of pub closures in the UK- now running at over 40 per week, and hope to be able to find a good and suitable venue, and will re-open the club as soon as we can achieve this..
